Urgent – 216 Palisade – Zoning Board Meeting
5 story, 20 Unit residential building, 100% lot coverage. April 28th, 6.30pm <!–
To members of the Sgt Anthony Park Neighborhood,
I am writing to invite you to join us in our efforts to prevent the current plans for development at 216 Palisade Ave (see full application).
216 Palisade Ave is zoned for medical use, but the owners of the site are requesting a a “use” variance to allow a large 5 story, 20 unit apartment building with 100% lot coverage.
On Thursday the plans are to be presented to the Jersey City Zoning Board and we need residents in the area to show up to the meeting to ensure that the board does not allow the design to pass. This creates a significant precedent for large scale buildings in a neighborhood that is only zoned for 1-2 family houses, and for variances to the medical zone which allows for 10 story buildings.
Please join us at the Zoning Board Meeting is this Thursday 28th April 2022, at 6.30pm via Zoom (full agenda).
