The Summer Sgt. Anthony Park Neighborhood Association meeting will be at
7pm on Thursday August 2nd at the 
Christ Hospital Staff Meeting Room  

Summer is in full swing and we are excited to announce upcoming park improvements. Please join us for the 2018 Summer meeting of the Neighborhood Association. This meeting is a great opportunity to get informed and involved!

Currently on the agenda:

-New Playground
    We are excited to announce that the Playground improvement project has been approved as part of the Capital Budget for 2018!!!!!  Aaron Johnson, JC Assistant Landscape Architect will be attending to talk about progress on plans for the new playground.  

-Development Plans for 97 Laidlaw Ave 
   The developer of 97 Laidlaw Ave will be attending the meeting and would like the input from the community on plans for a new residential development.

- Crime and Safety
    We hope a member of the local police force will join us to provide a neighborhood crime and safety update and to address any questions or concerns.

-Community Garden
   We had a great Spring planting day with volunteers from Keller Williams Jersey City and the park is looking great!  In addition to new beds in the front lawn, we have launched a vegetable garden area in our already thriving community garden. Beds available now!

-Dog Run Renovation
   The Dog Run is promised a renovation in the coming weeks! 

-Fall Flea Market
    Sadly the Spring flea market was cancelled due to weather.  We hope to set a date for a Fall Flea in September. More details soon. 

-Healthy JC Grant
    We have been awarded the Healthy JC Mini Grant. These mini-grants are for local organizations that demonstrate the capacity to build coalitions and use best practices to achieve equity across the various social determinants of health. We hope to use the money on health and fitness community activities in the park.  We would love your input!

-Yoga in The Park!!
    Sattva yoga will continue to offer Yoga in the Park on Sunday Mornings at 10am through September.
