We hope you are all staying well. Over the past few months, COVID -19 has shown how resilient a neighborhood we are, and the number of cases continues to drop throughout Jersey City. As our community learns to come together in new ways, we encourage you to remain vigilant and safe as cases nationally to rise.

Summer is well on it's way and we know that people are eager to get outside to enjoy the weather. While group sports and large gatherings are not yet possible, we are still hoping to offer a small program of events this summer.

Associations in The Heights have come together to understand to the new needs of our residents and neighborhoods since the COVID-19 outbreak.

Please take the survey and encourage as many of your household and neighbors as possible. If we are able to understand the challenges that people are facing, we will be better equipped to help each other in the coming weeks, months and years.

"A Summer of Solidarity,"
unity procession

Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m

Heights community leaders have organised a "Summer of Solidarity" procession to commemorate the lives lost in needlessly lethal interactions with law enforcement across the country.
Participants will gather on Sunday, June 28, 2020, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Washington Park (corner of Central/North Street) and ending at Pershing Field (at the Veteran's Memorial Community Center).  Community leaders will lead those assembled in an 8 minute and 46 sec moment of silence, and will conclude with community leaders offering resources for the myriad ways people can get more involved and be engaged as a community.

SLOW STREETS

Due to Covid-19, Jersey City is designating certain streets throughout the City as “Slow Streets”. These streets will be closed to through traffic so that people can more comfortably use them for physically distant walking, wheelchair rolling, jogging, biking and exercising all across the City.
We would like to encourage this in our neighborhood.
Please fill out the survey.
